Registration and Logging in

Registering for My Work Pension is a quick and easy three-step process.

You’ll need your membership reference which you can find on any personal letters, emails or updates we send you.

You’ll also need your National Insurance number.

Your membership reference is unique to you.

You can find it on any personal communications we send you.

It has 11 or 12 digits and is made up of both letters and numbers.

You’ll need your membership reference to register or log in to My Work Pension.

If your pension scheme hasn’t yet signed up to My Work Pension then you won’t be able to register at the moment.

This might be because:

  1. We’ve only recently taken responsibility to administer your scheme. If this is the case, you should have a welcome booklet from us telling you about our services and when My Work Pension will be ready for you to use.

  2. Your scheme may have a different website and not use My Work Pension. You’ll usually be able to find the address for this scheme website on any recent information you’ve received from us. Your scheme’s trustee may still choose to use My Work Pension in the future and we’ll let you know if they do.

For your security we’ve not transferred your login details from your previous scheme website to My Work Pension.

You’ll need to register for My Work Pension and use the membership reference you’ll find on any personal communications we’ve sent you.

Once we’ve updated your account, we’ll send you an email to let you know.

Your preferences are saved and you can change them at any time by using the form on the communication preferences section of My Work Pension.

We use the latest security measures to protect your data online, including secure log-on and automatic log-off.

There are also things you can do to prevent fraud:

  • We’ll never ask for your password or login details. If you’re ever asked for these, please let us know.

  • Don’t use a password that can be easily guessed and don’t share your login details or password with others.

  • Always update your computer, tablet and smartphone's operating system and web browser software.

  • Always use anti-virus software to protect your devices.

You’ll be able to manage your personal details, see your current pension amounts and get a lots of other information and news about your scheme.

You may have access to tools that provide estimates of your retirement income from the scheme.

You’ll also be able to send us secure messages. These give you and your pension the best protection.

You can always check the last time you logged into My Work Pension when you log in. If this doesn’t look right to you please contact us immediately and we’ll reset your account.

From time to time, we’ll need to do some development work to improve our service to you. We’ll always try to plan any work ahead of time so we can let you know in advance if My Work Pension will be unavailable.
